The DepEd Internet Connectivity Project (DICP) is a project launched by the Department of Education which aims to connect all Philippine public high schools to the Internet as well as provide the necessary monitoring and training for students, teachers and other school personnel in its use. Launched on May 15, 2009, the DICP, together with the multi-sectoral Gearing Up Internet Literacy and Access for Students (GILAS) program launched back in January 2005, has already connected 2,375 out of 6,505 schools nationwide.
