The Educational Center of Australia (ECA) is offering Baguio students a competitive pre-qualification process for six slots in information technology courses at Victoria University in Sydney, Australia. This was done through the “Special Kapihan sa Baguio” coordinated by the Philippine Information Agency.

The visiting ECA official, accompanied by former city councilor Edilberto Tenefrancia, revealed in a forum that the offer was made to the students in Baguio because of their proficiency in English and adeptness at information technology.

Tenefrancia encouraged students to avail of the opportunity for employment abroad. He said deserving scholars will have the chance to become Baguio's goodwill ambassadors to Sydney.

Records show that Baguo has become the center for education in the northern part of the Philippines, owing it to the efforts of the government to provide quality education to the youth.
